Starting as a graduate, Gabrielle is now Brand Manager for Huggies Baby Wipes & Swim Pants

Starting out as a Marketing Graduate I spent the first year on rotation working across the business, which gave me a great understanding of the different functions and roles available at Kimberly-Clark. I then had the exciting opportunity to become Assistant Brand Manager, Baby Care to work on market leading Huggies Nappies. Huggies is a fantastic brand to work on because it offers so much to mums and our products really make a difference to their lives. The Huggies brand gives them the reassurance that they are getting the very best for their baby.

I was promoted into the Brand Manager role where I was responsible for I look after the day-to-day marketing of the Huggies Baby Wipes and Huggies Little Swimmers brands. This involved managing everything from product launches, to communications and packaging.

From there I moved to be the Senior Brand Manager of Feminine Care, looking after the U by Kotex brand in Australia.  In this role I had a Brand Manager reporting into me, giving me the opportunity of being a team leader. While basic responsibilities were similar to Baby Wipes, there were additional challenges such as leading strategy development and working with contacts around the globe to develop the innovation pipeline for the brand in Australia. U by Kotex is such a great brand as here in Australia we are often the lead market for exciting innovation, as well as a fun brand to work on when it comes to advertising and communication.

I’ve recently been given the opportunity to experience a 12 month secondment in Category Development, within the Sales Department. During the year I’ll work closer with the sales team as well as the marketing team to develop and execute category plans across the Baby Care category. The change is helping to give me a better understanding of the sales side of the business, plus a different perspective to help make me a better Marketer.

 

Kimberly-Clark has a really friendly culture, which is why you'll find so many people saying it's a great place to work. I find the people here are really supportive and I've learnt a lot from my managers and the people I work with. Getting the job done but having fun while you do it is a testament to the great people in the company and it's the reason it's so easy for me to come to work every day.
