VIVA® wins Australian Marketing Institute Award

The VIVA® brand is the winner of a 2012 Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) Award for Marketing Excellence for VIVA TV & Computer Wipes. The Awards for Marketing Excellence are presented to those organisations and marketers who have achieved extraordinary success from innovative and effective marketing practices.

The Brand Extension category is about extending an existing brand into new markets, and is awarded when brands understand both the new and existing markets, deliver clear marketing strategies, and improve the total brand equity.

Since 2007, the VIVA brand has steadily expanded Aw 12_01_brand -extensionbeyond Paper Towel into the Cleaning domain, delivering unique cleaning solutions to address cleaning frustrations based on consumer insights. The brand won the award for the development of the successful VIVA TV & Computer Screen Wipes Kit which not only successfully extended the VIVA brand into screen cleaning but created an incremental cleaning segment in supermarkets that is now worth over $2 million in retail sales
(Aztec YTD 14/10/12).

The award was presented at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne as part of AMI's Annual Conference, and was accepted by Marketing Manager Lisa McKee and Senior Brand Manager Cassandra Nable.
